The most relaxing and beautiful weekend.
I have experienced a perfect weekend in the small town of Nebraska City, Nebraska. Myself and my family stayed in the amazing Lied Lodge Hotel which is built like a huge log cabin. The hotel was beautiful and the service was just as great. We spent much of our time outdoors as the weather was gorgeous and the scenery was amazing. We walked for hours on the trails through the wooded areas, over the small rivers and creeks, and saw the deer grazing in the fields. We even had time to walk across the street and check out some American Legion baseball games. The people in the community were extremely nice, they all nodded their heads, said hello and were very gracious throughout our entire trip. The hotel also offered many entertaining things to do for the entire family. For example, for children there were book readings done every evening next to the fire place in the hotel lobby. The hotel would bring in a man or woman to read stories to the youngsters before bed time. ... more
